Start to collect all the extra items you have hanging around your house and bring them the day of garage sale, PRICED and ready to sell. Send pictures to Tasha before to go on Craigslist ad. We need 5-6 people to commit to getting there early (7:30am) to help set up and 5-6 people to commit to staying until noon to take extra stuff to the Goodwill. REFUGEE SERVICES OF TEXAS
Make a group or we’ll place you in one! A Welcome Team is paired with a single family for 3 months. They will host a donation drive for the family’s apartment setup, welcome the family at the airport and provide a first night’s meal, take care of their first few week’s transportation needs, show the family around town, do a bus orientation, and see how else they can help make a new family’s arrival a pleasant and joyous transition. This is an amazing way to make a significant impact on a refugee family’s life and share meaningful experiences with your new neighbors from across the globe. Our final Blackland Sunday of the year will be Sunday November 22nd. We'll have more details about what we'll be doing closer to that date but please mark your calendars
POT-LUCK THANKSGIVING MEAL | NOV 29th
The Sunday following Thanksgiving, November 29th, we will not be meeting for a regular Sunday gathering at Imagine Art. Instead, the Ever's family will be hosting a pot-luck lunch at their home. We'll announce more details soon, should be a great time.
