A21 WALK FOR FREEDOM | SATURDAY OCTOBER 17th 10am
If you're free Saturday morning, why not help take a stand against modern-day slavery! Join Jour very own Jordan Ring with Allies Against Slavery & Redeemed Ministries Austin for A21's 2nd annual Walk For Freedom! On October 17, people in over 20 countries will fight for justice by raising awareness of human trafficking in their cities. Be a part of Austin's walk downtown, starting and ending at Rattle Inn. Please register at www.A21.org/walk (it's free!). If you're interested or have any questions, please connect with Jordan Ring (jordan.ring42@gmail.com) or see their Facebook Event Page as well.
Allies Against Slavery believes Austin can become a city where traffickers can't exploit the vulnerable and where survivors can truly heal. Click here to learn more about their approach (or just ask Jordan).
In order to fulfill this vision we need the City Council to join us as a stakeholder in the fight for freedom. Towards this end we are petitioning City Council for a resolution that will elevate the priority of ending human trafficking in Austin. To learn more and sign the petition, click here.
LADIES GET TOGETHER | SATURDAY OCTOBER 17th 11am
Our ladies are continuing their get togethers where they teach something fun to each other. This time Shannon Miller will be teaching everyone how to can! Since it is fall, you all will be making and canning apple butter for you to take home. Please bring a snack or beverage to share and $5 cash to help cover the canning supplies.

PARTNER CLASS OCTOBER 18th
Our next Partner Class will be held on Sunday October 18th immediately following our church service. If you plan on joining us to learn more about our church, please sign-up here PARTNER CLASS SIGNUP. We will be sharing lunch together so we're needing to know how many people will be joining us.
SERVE BLACKLAND SUNDAY OCTOBER 25th
We hope you will all join us on October 25th for our next Serve Blackland Sunday. If you know you will be joining us you can signup right now here: Serve Blackland Signup
We still need volunteers to pick up flowers on Sunday mornings at the Whole Foods downtown on North Lamar. Blackland normally picks up the flowers during the week, but we offered to help them on the weekends. All that is required is a car to transport the flowers, willingness to wake up early on a Sunday, and ability to drop them off at church or a local rehab hospital. Please contact Meg Garner meg.garner@gmail.com if you or your restore group is interested in volunteering one Sunday per month.
GARAGE SALE BENEFITING HELP ONE NOW
On one of the last weekends in November, not sure which one yet, we will be holding a church garage sale to benefit Help One Now. It will more than likely be at Cody & Tasha Hudson's home in Brentwood so we'll have more information on this as soon as we lock everything down. We simply want everyone who would like to be involved to prepare by finding household items you feel are of decent quality that you would like to donate. More on this to come...
